ATTRACTION IS 9/10's OF THE LAW

Here I sit in green boxers and an orange t-shirt doing the reverse 'Aquaman' garb thinking about the conversation I had last night with a young lady friend (still at the ripe old age of '18') at my friend's wine bar. I stopped by after my meeting to see everyone and let them know that I was 'alive' and still going after dealing with being sick.

I'd brought the new Genre magazine (well, December's issue and the last one since I'm not ordering it. It came free with a personal ad that I'd composed last year; which got me nowhere, BTW). I figured I'd thumb through it and talk as opposed to working on stories while I sit at the bar 'knoshing' and having something to drink. We were looking at the men (BTW, the mag's changed and not for the better with the new editor taking over) and discussing their pro's and con's as other friends stopped by to comment as well. The funny thing is that this 18 year old female thinks the same way I do. Men can be too pretty.
That's right, I said it. Men can be to pretty. Most of the 'boys', and I do mean boys, in these magazines are poster children for the 'S & M' crowd (that's 'Stand and Model' not the other ***whip cracking in the background****) of Gay, Bi and Metrosexual men out there today.
She and I had a long discussion about what it means to be 'attractive'. For both of us, we like to see a bit of scruff on a man. Why? Machismo? Macho? What it is to be a man? Possibly, It's attraction. Plain and simple. They look good. Example: Latinos. The next thing I heard was one of my other friend's say, "Ok, but what about your attraction to Asian men as well? You 'Rice' seeker." Actually they used the term 'Rice Queen' till I raised an eyebrow.
They know me well enough to know that last description doesn't fit me in the least bit. I will admit, like most gay men, I have my moments of drama but generally you'll find me having no issue with mucking out a horse stall or using my hands. I hate cats (well, that's rather strong but with few exceptions, I don't care for them in the least bit) but I still will clean out the bloody litter box.
"Asian men can have a masculinity about them," I shot back quickly and opened the laptop to prove my point.

'Thank's to Paul for this pic'

I could post some more but I'm not sure if those who read this are ready for 'Mr. Nude Asia' or Mr. 'Hot Tamale'.

Which brings me back to attraction and my friends/acquaintences. I guess really is that I've been thinking about this since reading a friend/acquaintence Blog post for a while now and how they describe themselves even after being 'manhandled' by those around them. He's a Physician in Malaysia (incredibly smart and witty) and yet still thinks of himself at times (at least in posts) as less than attractive (At least your getting 'manhandled' Sung! I think the last time I was in that situation was when I had a full physical!). What do we see in our attractions? I know I've recently been made aware of men who are skinnier and built who are totally and completely attracted to big, burly, hefty bearish men. Is it true that opposites attract? That's hard to say at times due to what I see on certain sites and if/when I go out to the bars. I know that I'm not hit on very often and then when I am I get concerned whether I'll have to call 'Nine-eleven' due to the 'freak' factor that arises. Remind me to tell you of the time the guy in his late 50's and in a 'diaper' jumped out at me during Pride.

All thing considered, what is attraction?

Chapter 8 of Death: Well, I'm heading into finishing it up, finally. Look for it soon.

Tomorrow: I have the opening of the Chapter in my head and now have to get my ass in gear and start writing.

Found: It's there and relatively complete in my mind but again I have to start writing.

What's taking me bloody, fucking forever? I've been reading. I've fallen into my I need romance phase again and I need to feel wanted romantically. So, like some sodden, lonely housewife (although, I'm single) who deals with a husband that comes home, eats, burps, farts, scratches his ass while she sits and reads either in the chair or in the bedroom dreaming of being taken away; I've sat at my computer and done the same thing. Problem is, the wooden deskchair (even with the cushion) is not condusive to doing so and I end up with my back bothering me, kinks in my legs and my ass feeling numb. But what's a numb ass for a fleeting moment of 'wishing'.

Ok... I'm gonna try...

to get some more of Chapter 8 of 'Death' completed and sent out this evening. It's been a wild ride the past couple of days but I'm on the mend.

Now, can I get one of these two to act as my 'helpers' and keep me comfty? They'd make great Nurse's Assistant or Candy Stripers... Eye candy at least...

ANGRY

I'm pretty f***ing damn angry right now. Some jackass contacts Blogger from the Group I'm apart of for this and another story site and accuses me of being a 'Spammer/Spambot'. I go through a lot to write and make some statement about life and being yourself and I get treated like 'shit'!

My Blog has been 'released' after review and I can now post again but I'm seriously considering cancelling everything including my work.

I've been sick. How sick? Let's just say, it was bad. There are two people withing the group who are aware of how sick I've been and they are the only ones who need to know.

It's 1045PM and my Pugs are ready for bed.

G'night

Chapter 7 of Death edited, updates and such

Well, it took a bit because I've been sick but I got chapter 7 of 'Death Comes Knocking' edited and out to Bret for uploading.

I had to see my 'brilliant' Physician on Friday (he reads the Blog so I'd better say something nice about him.... Hee hee...). A shot and antibiotics. Now, "Nothing to see here. Move along please, move along..." It was/is pneumonia again (Read: Annoyed).

Weddings...
Well, recently I've become even more keenly aware how 'art imitates life' or is it 'vice versa'. I have a very good friend that has become recently engaged which is interesting because Wes just gave Taylor a ring Christmas Eve at the end of the last Chapter. Now my friend has stated that they will be registering at 'Le Tar'get' and the 'Homo Depot' where all good Gay men do their shopping (whether for home items and clothing at one or a big, handsome item walking the aisles for the home at the other).

Alas, I forgot to ask my friend if they'd also registered at the 'Crypt' as well. Please, not one of you roll your eyes at me! You know you've either visited or at least been curious. However, I don't think leather or rubber sheets would match the decor at his place. He does have this 'cobalt' blue fetish though. Maybe some penis shaped salt and pepper shakers like the ones a straight friend of mine, who is a Flight Attendent, brought me back from Amsterdam for my 40th (I'm serious here) in 'cobalt' blue? He could call them "Objets d'art!" Functionality and style; just not sure whether they should be the 'grinding' type or just plain 'shake'. Either way, grasping them to use would surely liven up a boring dinner conversation.

Maybe Wes and Taylor should find themselves registering somewhere? I do know that one other of our intrepid couples will be walking down the aisle soon. What? We all know about Miranda and Porter. Hmmmm.....

Found
Ok, I left you at a sort of cliff hanger, if you will, here. A 'real' date is supposedly in the works between Ash and Mike. I've toyed in just glancing through it as opposed to giving a full account. I am sure, however, that Gavin would weasel the details out of Ash anyhow so I guess I better just give a firsthand account. There is the question as to where they will go and what will occur. Sex on the horizon? Like Ash says, "What kind of girl do you think I am?"

I am not really sure how these characters will carry through. Neither have 'talked' to me in a few weeks. Sometimes folks like to keep a low profile. We'll have to see.

Death
Death is a completed work but with "LOTS" of editing. Thankfully, I have some help here. Other than little 'tweaks' here and there, nothing is really changing. I still have the next book in the series to write (although, in my head already).

Political Love
Well, I've had this written for a bit but seems a little apprapo considering the current political climate. The question is will I flesh it out. Let me know...

16 years ago seems like a long time. As I sit here smiling down at a picture the both of us with me holding him in my arms while he sat on my lap as he stretched in his suit from being tired; well, it had been a late night celebrating Bill’s win of the Presidency. We’d all worked hard on the campaign. Bill and Hillary stood over to the side watching it all unfold and smiling at all of us especially looking at me and Jase. Just earlier I’d been carrying him around piggy back as we celebrated and we’d tumbled onto the piano bench from laughing.

“You two hit the bed,” he said coming over with Hillary. We agreed. We were tired. I was 20 and he was just about to turn 19.

My young lover, a half foot shorter than me with crystal blue eyes and curly blond/brown hair, jumped up into my arms and grinned, “Yeah, take me to bed,” he said wiggling in my arms causing his parents to laugh and roll their eyes at the First Couple.

Here I sit remembering the events like it was yesterday.

Three years later, Bill arrived after an event and I’m sitting outside waiting for him. He stops to meet a few people before stepping up to me. “Morning Mr. President,” I said winking. “Everyone’s inside and ready to go. David is meeting with the others,” before sitting down crossed legged on the concrete edge that formed the base of the event center. “How are you doing?” he asked. I looked up at him and shrugged, “Numb seeing him. It’s been a while.” Bill clasped my shoulder, “I understand,” as he started walking inside. “Bill?” I asked with a bit of trepidation, “Does he love him? Do you think we’d have a chance if I told him how I felt?” Bill stopped and waived off the agents buzzing around him like so many flies around the sweets he liked me to make for him and wasn’t supposed to have, “I can’t answer that Trav. The only one who can is inside.” I nodded, “By the way, if you’re good I’ll sneak you a couple of pear tarts.” He grinned and rubbed his hands together like a little boy as he began to walk away. “Oh and Bill?” I said quickly causing him to stop and give a quizzical look, “find a better way to hide the cigars in your pocket before Hillary catches you?” He laughed and pulled them out of his pocket handing them to Jeff, “Right!”

“Does he still love me?” I sat there as the snow started to fall.

I've been perusing Netflix of late to find some more 'romantic Gay' movies. Damn sorry state isn't that? Sometimes, I've had to revert to Youtube to find a trailer (like I did for 'East Side Story') and as I was pulling up stuff I came across a favorite Daniel Radcliffe segment. For those who aren't aware; think Harry Potter. Now, since 'Danny Boy' has recently been seen nude doing 'Equus' (oh I'm sure you all have seen the nude shots, whether truly of him or not) seeing him in this small 'role' just makes it all the better.

Editing chapters 7 & 8 of 'Death Comes Knocking'

Bloody puss bucket hell!!! I need to get over being sick so I can get the rest of this editing done and writing again. I've been working on Chapter 7 and almost finished the re-editing and rewrite; chapter 8 will be next. Which means I have to get the next chapter out to my editor (forgive me) and start writing the next Chapters of the other stories.

Stories... I have too many ideas and not enough 'get up and go' to bloody well type it all down. Sometimes I think I should buy that dictatorial software but then I cringe when Tucker and/or Ella starts to bark as they are now.

TJay: Josh slowly unbuttoned Kelly's dress shirt and began.... *BOOFF, BOOFF... A WOOF***

Compter: "Josh slowly... crackle... sputter... woof woof woof, dress shirt"

Well, with my luck it's likely to happen.

To cradle my desire for romance (sic) I rented and watched "East Side Story" from Netflix. Gay Latino men.... hotness... Ok, I know many will swat me because I've always thing for Asian men but I have just as large a '(FILL IN THE BLANK)' for Latinos too. Heh...

Anyway, I leave you (hopefully) with a sample of the movie...

Tempting the fates.... or how far to push the envelope

New Year in just a few days. I've got two Chapters of 'Death Comes Knocking' to get edited. That'll be today's project and maybe write some more of 'Found'.

One thing that comes across to my mind is how far to push the envelope in my works and my posts. An acquaintence of mine that posts on blogger gets some great pics going. Where he gets them is a mystery to 'moi' but needless to say .... WOW! (heh heh)

I want this to be a fun site but I also want it to reflect me and my tastes as well....

What to do? Any ideas? Then again, does anyone really read this thing...?
